Rice's Guidance Department Mission
The mission of the Rice Memorial High School Guidance Department is to provide a comprehensive counseling program that supports students academic and career goals, in addition to supporting their personal and social needs. We are committed to promoting life-long learning, personal, moral, and academic growth, as well as aiding students in becoming responsible, culturally aware, and productive members of a changing society. Our mission is supported and further strengthened by consultation and collaboration with teachers, parents, administrators, staff and our community.

9th Grade Transition Support
There will be weekly support available for 9th graders who are experiencing challenges with the transition to high school or would just like to sharpen their basic skills within the areas of literacy and math.- Math Support with Marisa Mulligan: Mondays 2:30-3:30 in room 236
- Literacy Support with Kayleiugh Oldham: Tuesdays and Thursdays 2:30-3:30 in room 145
After School Homework and Tutoring ProgramStudent tutors from the National Honors Society are in Room 146 every Tuesday & Thursday from 2:30-3:00 to assist students. If you have any questions about the After School Homework/ Tutoring Program, please contact Natalia Livak [email protected].

College and University Admissions Counselors Visit Rice!
Admissions counselors visit Rice in person September-December to meet exclusively with Rice students. We provide a list of Colleges and Universities visiting Rice and a way for students to sign up for a personal appointment. It's a great way to have your application stand out amidst a pool of applicants and to get insight into the admissions process.
