Monthly Night In:
Once a month we meet in the campus ministry room for a themed event which involves prayer, games, plenty of food, a movie, or fun activities. This event is led by Mrs. King along with Father Naples and visitor chaperones.
Advent & Lent Retreats
The seasons of Advent and Lent offer meaningful opportunities to slow down, look inward, and draw closer to Christ. These retreats provide students with the time and space to do just that. Through age-appropriate games and activities, relatable speakers, good food, prayer, Holy Mass, Adoration, and opportunities for confession, students are invited to step away from the busyness of daily life and focus on their faith. Campus Ministry holds both an Advent Retreat and Lent Retreat are held at the beautiful St. Anne’s Shrine in Isle LaMotte.
Mount 2000 Retreat
The objective of the Rice Community Service Program is to encourage and guide students to live out the teachings of Jesus Christ. It has two major goals: bringing forth the kingdom of God and reaching out to the poor, vulnerable and marginalized in society. We hope that participation in these efforts will help students grow in faith, develop important character traits, learn new perspectives and grow in compassion.
Some of the projects in which students participate are: King Street Youth Center Reading Buddy Program, Vermont Catholic Charities' Thanksgiving Basket collection, the Polar Express, the Penguin Plunge, the Spectrum Sleepout, COTS Walk, and many more.
