Prospective students (8th grade and up) are invited to join us for a half-day shadow day. Attend classes, meet teachers and students, and get a true feel for student life here. We'll make every effort to pair your child with a current Rice student with similar interests. While these visits aren’t required, they are encouraged as many of our students say that their shadow visit was an important factor in choosing Rice. 

Details:

• Due to popular demand, there is one more Shadow Day this year: Thursday, 3/5 (afternoon, 11:15-2:30pm).
• Please note that lunch will not be provided, so plan accordingly.
• Shadow days will be offered to current 8th graders as well as current high school students who are looking to explore Rice.
• Prospective students will shadow a current student in the grade that they will be going into the following year. For example, current 8th graders will shadow a current Rice 9th grader.
