Scripture and Catholicism Today
–
I enjoy teaching Religion because: it allows students time to reflect on “big picture” questions, get to know more about the Word of God in writing (Scripture) and in Person (Jesus), and hopefully encourage them to make that 12” cliff drop from the head to the heart.
I choose to teach at Rice because: there were clear signs that God was calling me here.

Runner up: camping on Deer Island, Maine
Favorite tradition/fieldtrip/project you do in your classroom each school year: Slowly reading and reflecting on an entire Gospel

If a prospective family asked you “why should I send my student to Rice,” what would you say?
The structured, nurturing and demanding environment of Rice will provide a setting for your student to discover, believe in and develop the best version of themselves. Their whole person will be challenged and encouraged: academically, physically and spiritually (in mind, body and soul).
