The Rice Memorial Track & Field teams delivered standout performances at the Vermont Division II State Championships, with the girls team capturing 2nd place overall and the boys team earning 4th — an impressive result for a small school stacked with talent.

Numerous PRs across sprints, distance, hurdles, throws, and relays.
(Ryan) Jeonghun Jin capped an outstanding meet with four podium finishes (state title in 200m, 2nd in 100m, and key legs on both 2nd place relays).
Evey Slavik scored points in three events, including state gold in the 3000m and anchoring the 4x800 relay championship team.
Zoe Martinez captured the 100m hurdles title in dominant fashion.
Aerie Sanders brought home a state title in discus and silver in shot put.
Up next: Several Rice Memorial athletes have qualified to compete at the New England Championships on Saturday, June 14. Representing Rice will be Jeonghun ‘Ryan’ Jin (100m, 200m, 4x100m relay), Theodore Washburn (400m, 4x100m relay), Tiegan Lambert (4x100m relay), Dallas St Peter (4x100m relay), Izzy Lacy (400m), Jeays Matz (400m), and Aerie Sanders (discus).
