I enjoy teaching literature I care about providing students with a quality education, accountability, and a school experience that educates the whole person.

I choose to teach at Rice because: Catholic education has played a vital role in my life and I truly believe that the balance of academics and faith in a community setting, provides a meaningful experience for students.

What is your favorite thing about your job? My favorite thing about my job is connecting with students through literature and seeing their growth through understanding.

If you had an unexpected afternoon off, what would you do with your time? If the weather was nice, I would spend it in the woods or at the lake, enjoying the quiet. If it’s snowy, definitely inside enjoying a cup of coffee and a good book. 

If a prospective family asked you “why should I send my student to Rice,” what would you say? 
Rice has a great community and ensures students receive an academically rigorous education as well as spiritual connection.
