New England College Planning is providing a workshop in the Rice Library on cost-effective ways to pay for college and avoid expensive mistakes. 

• Tuesday, 9/29 at 5 PM at Rice Memorial High School Library 

• Wednesday, 9/30 at 8 AM at Rice Memorial High School Library

You’ll learn how to:

• Navigate recent FAFSA changes

• Find private colleges that may cost less than state schools

• Identify schools with the strongest aid packages

• Understand how the Student Aid Index is calculated

• Create a smart payment plan without relying on 529s, heavy loans, or retirement funds

• Lower your out-of-pocket costs and maximize financial aid
