The Advancement Office supports the mission of Rice High School working with the principal to identify both the current year's financial needs (Rice-Cathedral Fund) and capital/major needs of the school. The Advancement Office cultivates relationships with alumni, current and past parents to raise money for these initiatives. The Rice-Cathedral Annual Fund directly benefits the students by filling in the gap between tuition and what the actual cost to educate a student.

• BA English and Business Administration from St. Catherine University, St. Paul, MN.
• JD from Mitchell Hamline School of Law, St. Paul, MN. 
• She started working at Rice in 2015 and had 3 children graduate from Rice
• Nancy volunteers as a Stunt Nite Coach

I choose to work at Rice because: I am passionate about Catholic education and I enjoy connecting with alumni, parents and donors interested in support the Rice Mission.

What is your favorite thing about your job? Working in an environment where students are challenged and cared for.

If you had an unexpected afternoon off, what would you do with your time? I would hike with my dog Charlie or take a walk at Shelburne Farms.

Best vacation/trip you’ve ever been on: Our family went to St. John’s Island for a week of swimming, snorkeling and playing card games. It is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.

Favorite tradition/fieldtrip/project you do each school year: I plan the Rice Day of Giving. It is fun, concentrated day working with alumni, families and students to work toward a common goal of supporting Rice and our students. I love hearing all the memories and wondering things alumni have to say about their experience at Rice. Often time friendships start here and last a life-time!

If a prospective family asked you “why should I send my student to Rice”? What would you say? 
All three of my children graduated from Rice. The teachers challenge and support each student and help them grow, learn and become a better person than when they walked through the doors for the first time. Rice is a community of teachers, staff and administration that truly care about each student.
