• B.A. in Music Education at Castleton State College
• M.M. in vocal performance at the Conservatory of Music at Brooklyn College 
• Mr. Ginter is also the Founding Artistic Director of the Greater Burlington Children’s Chorus, Board Vice President of the Youth Opera Company of Vermont.

I enjoy teaching Music because: I get to work with all of the best kids in school. Making music brings joy to all involved. I love seeing the growth and immediate satisfaction in a student when they advance in a skill.

I choose to teach at Rice because: We are creating something special here.

What is your favorite thing about your job? I get to make great music with great kids.

If you had an unexpected afternoon off, what would you do with your time? Spend time with my family.

Best vacation/trip you’ve ever been on: My honeymoon traveling across Europe.

Favorite tradition/fieldtrip/project you do in your classroom each school year: The main stage musical. It’s by far the hardest and most time consuming thing we do. But that makes it so fulfilling once you have the final product and it is all said and done.

Favorite Rice tradition or event: Stunt Night

Favorite Rice Sports Team to watch: Basketball

Favorite Professional Sports Team or Athlete: New York Yankees (sorry Red Sox fans)

If a prospective family asked you “why should I send my student to Rice,” what would you say? It’s the only school in the state that offers a Vocal Performance class at the high school level. You will find no shortage of opportunities to perform.

Anything else you’d like to say? I feel grateful to work in a caring community. I love helping students find their voice and give them a place to thrive.
