• BA in Liberal Arts with a focus in Elementary Education K-6 at New England College
• Started at Rice: 2026

Before coming to Rice, Mr. Simmons was teaching kindergarten in a small town. During the summers he works at a sports summer camp where he is the director of digital and creative arts. There he teaches Yearbook, Photography, Sports Broadcasting, Podcasting, and Arts and Crafts.

What is your favorite thing about your job? My favorite part of my job is being able to build connections with students who are living with us for the school year. As well as building the yearbook with students where we help capture the best moments of the school year.

If you had an unexpected afternoon off, what would you do with your time? If I had an unplanned afternoon off I would spend time working on my craft projects.

Favorite Rice Sports Team to watch: I am new to Rice but I am looking forward to watching and supporting all of our teams whenever I can.
