Get to Know Her:

I enjoy coaching because: I truly enjoy helping these young girls develop their skills and build their confidence, it's very rewarding.

I choose to teach at Rice because: I chose to be at Rice because: we have a very unique prep hockey program. It's similar to a college-level team because we travel together, have meals together, and play over 45 games/season. That's almost double than most prep schools.

What is your favorite thing about your job?  The kids, watching them grow and get better.

If you had an unexpected afternoon off, what would you do with your time? You'd find me in the mountain hiking, on my bike, at my cabin or with my friends adventuring!

Best vacation/trip you’ve ever been on: Renting a condo in Florida with my family in April.

Favorite tradition/fieldtrip/project you do in your classroom each school year: Our team does an annual sunrise hike every September on Mt. Mansfield.

Favorite Rice tradition or event: Stunt Nite

Favorite Rice Sports Team to watch: Not sure I have one, I like watching any student that I have worked with.

Favorite Professional Sports Team or Athlete: Any team in the playoffs

If a prospective family asked you “why should I send my student to Rice,” what would you say? Any student at Rice will be prepared for college. Our teachers push our kids outside of their comfort zones in a good way to help them be ready for the next level.
